I, Dr. Amit Sawant, am an award-winning, customer-centric leader with extensive experience in enterprise and consumer space. I have a a strong track record of delivering ground-breaking products in the areas of health analytics, AI/ML, IoT, data management, and security. I am passionate about building, mentoring and managing high-performing global teams. I have exceptional ability to translate concepts into reality through thought leadership, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

I am the Chief Product & Operating Officer at Somatix where I drive the Product, Business and overall Company strategy. I led Somatix’s acceptance into multiple accelerator and innovation programs – T-Mobile for Wellness Tech, LG NOVA Mission to the Future, H+ Digital Health, and Roche Innovation in Dementia (< 0.4% to 4% acceptance rates). I also serve as an Adjunct Faculty at Institute of Product Leadership, an Executive in Residence with North Carolina State University's Office of Technology Commercialization and New Ventures, a Venture Mentor at NSF I-Corps, an Advisor at VJTI Technology Business Incubator, Optimum Data Analytics (Data Analytics and AI startup), Ungray (Marketing Analytics startup) and PennPAC, and a Leadership Mentor at Plato and ADPlist.

I previously was the Head of Products at Dell Technologies for Data Protection products - Data Domain and Integrated Data Protection solutions; Product Management Leader for Riverbed Technology's Storage Delivery products - SteelFusion and SteelStore. And prior to that, I was the Product Management and Marketing Leader for NetApp's Data Protection products - SnapMirror and SnapVault. I have also advised Palo Alto Networks on business strategy in the area of Public Cloud Security.

I hold an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; a M.S. and Ph.D. in computer science from North Carolina State University; a B.S. in computer science from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (formerly known as Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute); and am Pragmatic Marketing certified.
