I am a visionary and award-winning product leader with a remarkable track record of driving innovation and delivering groundbreaking solutions across enterprise and consumer domains. My expertise spans analytics, AI/ML, IoT, data management, and cybersecurity, coupled with strategic thought leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and adept negotiation skills. I bring deep industry experience across high-tech, healthtech, and real estate, enabling cross-pollination of ideas and best practices that deliver transformative business outcomes.
I currently serve as an Entrepreneur in Residence at NCInnovation, leading comprehensive commercialization strategies for university-funded MedTech innovations and architecting business formation processes for breakthrough R&D projects across North Carolina's research institutions. As Chief Product & Operating Officer at Somatix, I spearhead the company's overall product, business, and corporate strategy. I led Somatix's competitive selection into prestigious accelerator programs including T-Mobile for Wellness Tech, LG NOVA Mission to the Future, H+ Digital Health, and Roche Innovation in Dementia, with acceptance rates ranging from 0.4% to 4%. Our work earned recognition including the HLTH 2021 Startup Pitch competition victory at the world's largest health innovation conference.
My extensive experience spans diverse organizations, including Dell Technologies, Riverbed Technology, NetApp, and Tata Consultancy Services. As Head of Products at Dell Technologies, I drove $2.4 BB in annual revenue for Data Protection products, including Data Domain and Integrated Data Protection solutions, earning the coveted Dell Champion Award and leading DP4400 to 'Product of the Year' recognition. During my early tenure at Somatix, I also served as Adjunct Faculty at Institute of Product Leadership, instructing Product Management and Marketing courses. At Riverbed Technology, I managed the industry's only branch hyper-converged infrastructure product, SteelFusion ($100 MM annual revenue, 230% year-over-year growth). During my tenure at NetApp, I led product marketing for industry-leading SnapMirror ($900 MM annual revenue) and SnapVault ($300 MM yearly revenue), while establishing NetApp's strategic partnership with the National Football League as official data storage provider. I have provided strategic consultation to Palo Alto Networks on Virtual Next Generation Firewalls in public cloud markets. I previously served as Executive in Residence with North Carolina State University's Office of Technology Commercialization and New Ventures, mentoring university scientists and engineers on lean startup methodologies.
I actively mentor the next generation of leaders through premier organizations including Plato, Alchemist Accelerator, ProductCampRTP, Product League, and ADPlist. I provide strategic guidance to startups through NCInnovation, Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), NSF I-Corps, IIT-Startups, and VJTI-TBI, while delivering expert consulting to Fortune 500 clients through Coleman Research, GLG Insights, Third Bridge, Dialectica, Lynx, and PennPAC. I serve on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the North Carolina Executive Roundtable Forum, influencing regional business strategy and economic development.
I hold an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; a Ph.D. and M.S. in computer science (specialization in data analytics and visualization) from North Carolina State University; and a B.S. in computer science from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI). As a globally recognized thought leader, I have delivered keynotes at 100+ academic and industry conferences and authored 35+ peer-reviewed articles published in premier venues including IEEE Visualization, SuperComputing, and ACM Applied Perception.
